Michael F. Sullaway, P.E.
President & CEO
Sullaway Engineering, Inc. is a full service national structural engineering firm led by officers and co-owners Michael F. Sullaway and Britta Anne Sullaway.
Michael’s key role at Sullaway Engineering as CEO is to manage a team of engineers along side a managing engineer for the firm. He has been instrumental in supporting state sign associations and has developed “Standardized Sign Engineering” for most of the Western United States. He has played a key role in expanding the company’s expertise to include sign engineering, awning engineering, tension fabric engineering, residential engineering, structural remodels, and large business conversion or expansion projects in the commercial and government sector projects.
Michael F. Sullaway, P.E. earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the nationally acclaimed University of California, San Diego’s Jacob’s School of Engineering. Prior to starting his own firm, he worked for prestigious international bridge design firms, and research and design firms specializing in nuclear containment structures.

Britta Anne Sullaway
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
At Sullaway Engineering Britta serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She oversees and manages the administrative team, business development, strategic planning and marketing. In addition, she manages state regulatory and compliance requirements for licensure, taxation and registration with the Professional Engineering and Land Surveyor’s State Board (PELS), the Secretary of State and Department of Revenues for 49 states including the District of Columbia. All of this can’t be done without giving credit to an amazing team of professionals dedicated to excellent customer service.
Britta Anne Sullaway earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications from the University of California, San Diego. Before launching Sullaway Engineering, she held marketing and business development positions in the medical industry. She was also CEO and owner of a small adult residential facility business for over twenty years, managing day to day operations, budgets, state contracts, personnel, and compliance with state regulations.
