Sullaway Engineering, Inc. is a national structural engineering firm led Michael F. Sullaway, P.E., and Britta Anne Sullaway. Working alongside a team of engineers and project managers, Michael and Britta make it a goal to foster long-term business relationships, provide excellent customer service, and deliver economical engineering designs in a timely manner.

Since 2009, the team at Sullaway Engineering, Inc. has engineered thousands of structures in national business sectors that include restaurants, retailers, hotels, petroleum, automotive, hospitals, hospitality, sporting and entertainment complexes, amusement parks, airports, banking, schools, and more. Michael Sullaway, P.E. manages a team of licensed Professional Engineers and Structural Designers. Our team members have experience and knowledge of municipality requirements in addition to having excellent relationships with city plan checkers throughout the United States. Since the company’s inception in 2009, Sullaway Engineering has become a leader in the sign, awning, and post tension fabric industries.

Michael F. Sullaway, P.E.

PRESIDENT AND CEO

Michael serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sullaway Engineering and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the esteemed Jacob’s School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. Licensed in the 48 contiguous states, including the District of Columbia, he serves as the Engineer of Records for all applicable projects, providing management and oversight for the work of the Sullaway Engineering’s licensed P.E.'s and associate engineers on staff.
Michael has been instrumental in supporting state sign associations and has developed “Standardized Sign Engineering” for most of the Western United States. Prior to starting Sullaway Engineering, Michael worked for prestigious international bridge design firms, as well as research and design firms specializing in nuclear containment structures.
Britta Anne Sullaway

VICE PRESIDENT AND CFO

Britta Anne serves as the Vice President and CFO of Sullaway Engineering and has a BA in Communications from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to launching the firm, she held marketing and business development positions in the medical industry. She also brings 20 years of experience as CEO and owner of a small adult residential facility business including managing day-to-day operations, budgets, state contracts, personnel, and compliance with state regulations.

She utilizes that wealth of expertise in her position as she oversees the administrative team and leads business development, strategic planning, and marketing. She also manages state regulatory and compliance requirements for licensure, and taxation, as well as registration with the Professional Engineering and Land Surveyor’s State Board (PELS) and the Secretary of State and Department of Revenues for 49 states including the District of Columbia.
